Speed Can Kill

The Berrier twins were born on Thursday, April 10th: This is Sarah Reece: And this is Caleb Randall: Speed can kill - but hopefully in this case it didn't. What a weekend. As I was getting off work Friday, I had planned to go to the high school to donate blood. It's been about three months, so I am due. Thank God that I didn't leave 10 seconds earlier. As I was driving down Highway 200, I was meeting an out of control, speeding car that was coming right at me. This was the end result. I think it's ironic that in this picture, you can plainly see the 35 mph caution sign. I told the troopers that people totally ignore the speed limit signs in that area. Hopefully, they'll start hanging out and write some tickets! I hope these people will be okay. I hope I never have to experience anything like that again. This is sunset in Ashe County on Saturday, April 12th: On my trip back home on Sunday, I experienced a variety of weather, including snow in the mountains, bright sunshine in Wilkesboro, threatening clouds, as seen below on I-85 in Concord, followed by liquid gold. On Monday morning, as I was driving to work, I was being tailgated by a Mack truck, as the photo below will show: I'm starting to think that maybe I should stay at home for a while. Hopefully this week will be a safer one..... Thank you God for your protection and providence!
