Not bad, not bad at all.

Well that wasn't too bad. Dr. Faircloth said that the glipizide is not working and wanted me to try new meds. He wanted me to start on a new drug called Januvia. It has been on the market for less than a year now. My insurance will cover it, but it's still a tier 2 drug. It is supposed to help insulin more efficiently use the blood sugar to create energy for the body and at the same time, tells the liver to produce less sugar. I'm really hoping this works. My HDL went up 10%, so that was good. Dr. Faircloth said if I can get my HDL up to 50 then we can avoid adding yet another drug. He wants me to come back in three months, so Christmas should be lots of fun.
